I Think Of You

A Poem for Lovers Kept Apart

I Think Of You…

I think of you…
… in my idle moments.

As I drive home,
Not thinking of the outside world
I think of our time together.
Of a moment when in dim and mirrored candlelight
We caress
We kiss
Your hand is on my breast
My hand on your chest
And our skin sheened in the flickering light.
Your eyes are dark and lambent with arousal
Your penis erect and pulsing against my hand
Our bodies and our reflections embracing

In the office, I take a short time.
Sipping coffee, I think of you.
On a warm summer’s night, the scent of blossom on the air,
I feel your weight on me
Your body deep inside mine.
Our lips touch and our smiles meet.
We murmur, each to the other.
My cries as I rise to climax, spur you to even greater effort.
I feel you strain to arouse me further,
Sculpting my emotions with your body,
Raising me to where you wish me to go.
My breasts heave and my breath grows short as I approach orgasm
And I see your joyful anticipation of my glorious moment.

As I walk through the woods,
Dogs around my feet, panting; laughing and waggy,
I think of your laugh
Helpless with physical joy as you come.
My hands around your shaft
And my lips kissing/drinking you as you spurt,
I love the shudder passing through your body
Earthquake of the flesh.
I love the scent and taste of you
As you splash over my face, my breasts, my mouth
I relish your final shiver as I try
With the lightest of touches
To tongue you to a final trembling

As I lie abed,
I think of you
And of our final embrace
When after talk, and love…
… and debate and sex,
We clasp and enfold
Each to the other
And we grin
And we kiss
And so sleep.

I loved the poem. It is beautiful. You should really think about releasing a book of your poetry. It is every bit as lovely as other erotic poetry I have read.

    1. Simone Leigh says:

Thank you Beatrice. In fact, I do have a book of poetry out. It is titled ‘Hearts of Fire’.

  2. Lydia Bateman says:

As I read your poem this morning I’m in tears as my beloved partner went to join the angels on 17th April due to Covid-19. This was very powerful and evoked memories that I will keep forever of my soul mate, taken far too soon.

    1. Simone Leigh says:

Oh, my God. Lydia, I am so sorry. Never in my wildest dreams, when I wrote the poem, did I imagine it would be read under such conditions. I so wish I could bring you more than thoughts of your soul mate. Thinking of you. Simone xx

Lovely poem. You paint absolutely beautifully crafted erotic pictures. For that matter I simply love memorable moments of your writing and cherish them. For me your description of the homeliest dog had me roaring with laughter, the descriptions of the horror of human trafficking made me shiver and cry for the victims,, the small mindedness of uneducated or less expanded minds and how it can hurt others in order to make them feel it is necessary to conform to their strictures. Your writing is helping me through some trying times. Thank you.

    1. Simone Leigh says:

Thank you. It’s lovely to hear when my words make such an impact on people. I love doing what I do: writing for a living. But knowing that people enjoy reading what I produce so much makes it so much more worthwhile.

      Take care. Stay safe 🙂

      Simone

Ah what a beautiful memory of a long and amazing love once lived for me. I lost my husband, the love of my life for more than 40 years last year. A man who could love me from nose to toes. This brought tears to my eyes but wonderful memories. Thanks for that.
