Just thought I’d share this with you. It gave me a spit-out-my-coffee moment.
We all commit typos. If one of mine is funny, I sometimes share it with my FB group. This is one I shared yesterday morning.
The words are mine. The image below is the comment from a group member.
You’re welcome ,-)

The City dazzles me. It bewitches me, utterly captivates me. Everything is better, louder, busier… more… than anything I’m accustomed to from my dreary home-town. Horns blare, lights glare. All around people push and shove and shout and live.
Like all cities, there’s the good with the bad. Vast wealth sits beside grinding poverty. Towers of glass and steel spear skyward, slums and shacks crouching at their rear.
The prosperous middle-classes rub shoulders with grifters, pickpockets and street girls.
And there’s me. Little ol’ me, gawping at the splendour and the squalor I’ve chosen to make my home like some kid seeing a rabbi pulled from a hat for the first time.
I’ve recently started reading one of your colleagues’ (initials L.S.O.) work in progress. I spotted a couple of typos – gravely instead of gravelly – and the odd awkward phrasing. I started tagging the typos, then it occurred to me that I could be seen as being an annoyance. Fortunately, as with you, I have become a sort-of-kind-of almost email penpal. So I sent her a note, explaining the ones I had spotted and pointed out. She said it was all good, and could even end up saving her time in correcting the text once it got published. So everything is fine, so far!
That which does not kill us simply makes us more p**sed-off!
lol! L.S.O. is pretty chilled out. I don’t want to put words in her mouth, but I suspect that, like me, she appreciates it when readers alert her to the odd error that slips through 🙂
Well done Simone, brilliant!
lol! Thank you! 🙂
LOL! I love to catch typos like this.
lol! So do I 🙂
Lol too funny
Glad you enjoyed it ,-)
