For the ‘Dirty Billionaires’ antho, there’s a ‘Special Edition’ paperback being put together which hopefully will go live on Amazon over the next few days. For it, we’re putting together a signature page from all the contributing authors.
The problem…
My handwriting is terrible. Aside from the detail that I work almost exclusively on keyboards these days, even at school, my ‘joined up writing’ was all but unreadable. I gave up on it and went back to printing my words as soon as the teachers would let me get away with it.
Best part of two million words published, an hour spent ‘practising’ and my ‘signature’ looks like a five-year-old’s scribble…
My best friend in high school had what could, charitably, be called “chicken scratch”. Another mutual friend and I were the only ones capable of deciphering it. More than once, either Bob (convenient that one used Bob while the other was Rob – particularly as they were next-door neighbours!) or I were called upon by a teacher to translate. I think we MAY have boosted his test scores a couple of times. The running joke was that Rob was destined to become a doctor – which is what he is (almost fifty years since I saw him).
lol! I get that. I think of my handwriting as more like ‘fly falls in the ink bottle then scrambles out’…
